Abstract
Followed by neoadjuvant therapy,patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer will un-dergo radical surgical resection after a time interval,which is mainly to allow the tumor regression within it,to increase the R0 resection rate,pathological complete response rate and long-term survival.Secondly,a certain interval of time can maximize the recovery from toxicities caused by preoperative therapy and reduce the incidence of perioperative complications.However,a long interval before operation will increase the risk of tumor cell proliferation and metastasis,and the continuous fibrosis after tumor regression will increase the difficulty of surgery.The optimal timing of surgery is inconclusive.This article reviews and analyzes relevant literature and research,and elaborates on the selection of surgical timing after neoadjuvant therapy,hoping to provide reference for clinical work and further research,thereby improving the survival benefits of esophageal cancer patients.关键词
