Analysis and Insights into the Strategic Decision-Making Process of the U.S."BRAIN Initiative"

Abstract
The U.S."BRAIN Initiative"has made significant contributions to improving human well-being and advancing the frontiers of neuroscience.This paper takes the U.S."BRAIN Initiative"as a case study,focusing on analyzing its relevant experiences in strategic direction decision-making,aiming to provide decision-making support for the formulation of directions in similar major frontier basic science and technology projects in China.By selecting three strategic documents from the"BRAIN Initiative".This paper conducts an in-depth analysis of its specific practices in key areas such as overall strategic direction grasp,mid-term progress evaluation and direction updates,and ethical review.Ultimately,several approaches to direction decision-making for frontier basic disciplines are derived,with the aim of providing a reference for the strategic layout of major science and technology plans in China.关键词
