Development Level of China's Common Prosperity,Regional Differences,and Evolution Characteristics

Abstract
Scientific and accurate measurement of the development level of common prosperity is of guiding significance for the solid promotion of common prosperity and the realization of Chinese path to modernization.Taking 31 provinces in China from 1985 to 2022 as the research object,this paper incorporates equity and efficiency into the analysis framework of common prosperi-ty,systematically evaluates the development level of common prosperity in China by using the coupling coordination degree model and Dagum Gini coefficient,and also analyzes the dynamic evolution trend of common prosperity development level and the sources of regional differences.The research findings are shown as follows:The overall development level of China's common prosperity shows an N-shaped upward trend,but it is still in the"barely common prosperity"stage,with obvious regional hetero-geneity and time and stage characteristics.Among them,the development level of common prosperity in the eastern region is far ahead of the whole country and the central and western regions;the development level of common prosperity in the south and the north has reversed,and the spatial difference has expanded,showing a spatial distribution pattern of"high in the east and low in the west"and"fast in the south and slow in the north".The regional differences in China's common prosperity development level are mainly due to differences among groups.Compared with equity,the widening gap of efficiency development level is the main reason that the development level of common prosperity in central and western regions lags behind that in eastern regions.关键词
