Abstract
Objective To compare the effect of breast conserving surgery and modified radical surgery in the treatment of early breast cancer. Methods A total of 74 patients with early breast cancer in Dongming County People's Hospital from January 2020 to July 2022 were selected as the research objects and divided into the control group(n=37,received modified radical surgery)and the observation group(n=37,received breast conserving surgery)according to their surgical plans. The perioperative indexes, total incidence of postoperative complications, serum tumor marker levels, and postoperative breast aesthetic scores were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the operation duration, surgical incision length, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative drainage volume, and hospital stay in the observation group were better(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Twelve months after surgery, the carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),neuron specific enolase(NSE),alpha fetoprotein(AFP),and carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)levels of the two groups were lower than those before surgery(P<0.05).Twelve months after surgery, there were no statistically significant differences in the CEA,NSE,AFP,and CA125 levels between the two groups(P>0.05).Twelve months after surgery, compared with the control group, the scores of surface smoothness, skin status, breast symmetry, skin color, nipple movement distance, and scar left by surgical incision in the observation group were higher(P<0.05).Conclusion Both breast conserving surgery and modified radical surgery can achieve satisfactory results in patients with early breast cancer, while breast conserving surgery is more beneficial to improve postoperative breast beauty and reduce surgical trauma.关键词
