Review of Research on Train Operation Planning and Optimization for Urban Rail Transit

Abstract
The train operation plan for urban rail transit represents the transportation enterprise's capability to meet passenger travel demand through service capacity provision.By analyzing the research contents and current status of core elements in train operation plans for urban rail transit,the optimization objectives of existing studies were classified into two categories:enterprise operation cost reduction and passenger travel cost reduction.Mainstream optimization methods for these models were elaborated,primarily including direct solver application,traditional operational research approaches,and intelligent heuristic/metaheuristic algorithms.The study suggested incorporating practical operational scenarios such as actual train turnaround tracks and depot access tracks into operation plan research to ensure the applicability of optimization results.Solution algorithms should balance scalability with computational efficiency.A generalized optimization model for core elements of train operation plans was developed through the integration of existing research and practical applications,providing theoretical support for real-world implementation of train operation plans.关键词
