Abstract

The thin layer of shallow gas reservoir is widely developed and affected by diagenesis,resulting in the overall low formation velocity.Identifying the gas-bearing sand only based on the strong amplitude phenomenon in the seismic profile is not accurate.The overlapping sand's thickness,lateral change,complex combination form,and amplitude tuning effect will affect the seismic amplitude characteristics.It is difficult to identify shallow or ultra-shallow gas-bearing sand.This paper analyzes and summarizes shallow and ultra-shallow layers'geological,geophysical,and logging characteristics.The seismic response characteristics of the gas-bearing sandstone in the target interval are analyzed based on the actual seismic data and the logging interpretation results.By using the strong amplitude technique to identify gas reservoirs in the normal middle and deep layers,the factors affecting the seismic amplitude of shallow and ultra-shallow layers are analyzed through the forward modeling of superimposed sand bodies.The strong amplitude phenomenon combined with multi-attribute analysis technology is used to identify shallow and ultra-shallow gas reservoirs,which lays a foundation for shallow and ultra-shallow gas exploration in the South China Sea.
