Digital orthodontics:concepts and clinical practice
摘要
Abstract
The advantages of digital technology in dentist-ry extend beyond merely streamlining cumbersome clinical procedures;more significantly,the safety,efficiency,and accu-racy of treatment are enhanced.Digital photography and scan-ning are employed to capture craniofacial structures and den-tal cast models.Artificial intelligence is utilized for measure-ment and diagnostic analysis.Computer-aided design and manufacturing facilitate the fabrication of customized orth-odontic appliances.These static single-module digital technol-ogies have been widely adopted in contemporary orthodontic practice.However,orthodontic treatment primarily involves dynamic changes such as tooth movement,alveolar bone re-modeling,and maxillofacial growth.Therefore,it is imperative to explore how digital technology can be applied to dynamic orthodontic treatment in order to establish more predictable treatment objectives and to improve both efficiency and accu-racy of treatment.The scope of digital orthodontics requires further expansion.关键词
