Global Perspective on Skills Competition:Main Characteristics of the WorldSkills Lyon and Its Implications for Shanghai

Abstract
Skills Competition from the global perspective has increasingly become an important way to promote international exchanges and cooperation among countries and boost their economic development.The WorldSkills Competition,being the premier event in the global skills domain,has increasingly developed into a crucial platform for members of the WorldSkills Organization to display and exchange vocational skills.Based on the data sourced from the official website of WorldSkills Competition and media reports,this study found that WorldSkills has demonstrated certain noticeable evolving trends in terms of scale,events and forums.WorldSkills Lyon has established a new benchmark for the advancement of global vocational skills with its key features of green sustainability,encompassing international exchange,technology empowerment,and fairness and inclusiveness.The 48th WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 can draw upon its advanced experiences,adopt effective measures in the integration of green concepts,innovation of technological integration,and deepening of international cooperation,and thereby achieve new development.关键词
