Differentiation and Treatment of Radiotherapy-Induced Oral Mucositis from YE Tianshi's Defense,Qi,Nutrient,and Blood Theory
摘要
Abstract
The identification theory of Defense,Qi,Nutrient,and Blood,founded by Qing Dynasty physician YE Tianshi,divides the pathological changes of exogenous warm diseases into four phases:defensive level,qi level,nutritive level,and blood level,as a supplement to the six meridians syndrome differentiation.Radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis(RTOM)is a common complication of radiotherapy for head and neck tumors.Professor ZHU Chaofu,with rich clinical experience,regards radiation as an exogenous heat-toxicity evil,and believes that the basic pathogenesis of RTOM is"deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality",with yin deficiency as the root,heat-toxicity and blood stasis as the symptoms,and its transmission follows the pathological process of"Defense,Qi,Nutrient,and Blood".Accordingly,the theory of Defense,Qi,Nutrient,and Blood is applied to guide traditional Chinese medicine treatment of RTOM,and the clinical efficacy is remarkable.关键词
