QIU Baoshan's Clinical Experience in Treating Radiation-Induced Sinusitis
摘要
Abstract
Radiation-induced sinusitis is a common complication following radiotherapy in nasopharyngeal carcinoma,primarily manifesting as nasal congestion,rhinorrhea,headache,and decreased sense of smell,significantly affects patients'quality of life and mental health.Western medicine has limited preventive and therapeutic measures for radiation-induced sinusitis,whereas traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)plays an active role in the prevention and treatment of radiation-induced sinusitis.This article summarizes Professor QIU Baoshan's clinical experience in treating radiation-induced sinusitis.Her treatment regimen includes both internal medication and external TCM therapies,focusing on regulating lung,spleen,and kidney while emphasizing the reinforcement of healthy qi and nourishment of yin fluids.Professor QIU Baoshan categorizes radiation-induced sinusitis into three syndromes:heat toxin and blood stasis,qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness,and yin deficiency with excessive fire.She selects prescriptions flexibly according to syndrome differentiation.For external therapies,she integrates traditional Chinese medicine with modern treatment devices.Professor QIU Baoshan's comprehensive approach has effectively improved patients'quality of life and enhanced the long-term therapeutic outcomes of radiation-induced sinusitis,which is worthy of clinical reference and broader application.关键词
