Abstract
Traditional philosophy,grounded in the positions of absolute essentialist substance theory and physicalist reductionism,denies the ontological existence of artificial objects,thereby rendering the ontology and epistemology of artifacts fundamentally untenable.The philosophy of artificial object design has long been confined to methodological discussions,with historical factors further exacerbating the binary division between artistic design and engineering design.Only by critiquing and rejecting the absolutist stance of traditional philosophy while acknowledging the"emergence"of irreducible novel qualities can we ontologically establish the essence of"creative"existence for entities.Analyzing the Dutch School's discovery of the"logical gap"between the structure and function of artificial objects provides significant enlightenment.It reveals that the absence of inherent logical necessity among"structure""function"and"morph"enables their relationships to be creatively constructed through design within concrete historical processes.Design emerges ontologically through a"passive-active synthesis"mechanism,generating diverse artificial existences via three fundamental design pathways.Consequently,artistic design and engineering design will achieve creative integration through trinity design encompassing"structure""function"and"morph"dimensions.关键词
