Abstract
By comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences in the calculation of the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete members in Chinese,USA and European standards,mainly including the calculation of the bearing capacity for bending,shearing and torsion as well as the control of concrete fissures.Based on the main concrete members such as the beams,slabs,pile caps and berthing members located at the upper part of a piled wharf,the above standards were applied to calculate the layout of reinforcement,which produced the following conclusions.In Chinese GB standard,the main reinforcement of a RC concrete member usually occupied the largest area.In USA standard,the minimum reinforcement ratio applied under some conditions.and European standard corresponded to the minimum value.In the calculation of torsion longitudinal reinforcement,the main re-bar should be taken into account in USA and European standards.The reinforcement calculation software might cover the bearing capacity of each component of a piled wharf,which assisted the engineers in obtaining accurate reinforcement results easily based on different standards,and improved the design efficiency.关键词
