Abstract
The constant increase of the record high water level of the Yangtze River leads to much thicker silt stratum under water,which reduces the effective height of abutments to a great extent.Based on the ring bridge approach of a steel box girder bridge at the Nanjing Bridge Park section along the shoreline of the Yangtze River,Midas Civil was firstly used to carry out the stress analysis,which produced the stress and deformation results of the whole bridge approach under the most unfavorable load conditions.And then Abaqus software was used for the local stress analysis of abutment girder consolidation points.In addition,the abutment height was modified to simulate the impact of the thickness of silt covering on the effective height of abutments in floodplain area.The results showed that the fissures easily occur at the consolidation points of abutment girders or under the hoop plates on top of the abutments.When the silt covering became thicker,the effective height of abutments decreased,and the cracking risk increases greatly.关键词
