Abstract

Apenjiang Bridge of Qian-Zhang-Chang Railway is one of the highest concrete cable-stayed bridges with low towers along the railways in China.The main abutment is 123.5 m high,the foundation pit of the abutment No.14 is near the road and river,which leads to the complexity of hydrology and geology.By comparing the foundation pit retaining structures and the inner supports,a double support system was determined,that is,the occlusion pile combined with the prestressed fish belly beam and prestressed anchor cable.The structure is of less deformation and better water-stop performance.In view of the imbalance forces acting on both sides of the foundation pit,different pre-stresses could be selected to realize the dynamic control of the overall deep-layer displacement of the retaining structure.Midas was used for the overall modeling and calculation of the supporting system,which produced the deformation,the support axial force and the maximum value of the bending moment.The monitoring data showed that the double-layer support system applied well.
