Abstract

The"integrated gel breaking,flocculation-sedimentation,and multi-stage filtration"process was employed to treat co-produced water from deep coalbed methane(CBM)extraction in the Shenfu block,The compatibility of the treated co-produced water,when used as reinjection water,with formation water and clay minerals was systematically investigated.The results show that in the conditions of the integrated gel-breaking time of 30 min,a composite flocculant dosage of 300 mg/L,and a filtration rate not exceeding 8 m/h,the treated water exhibits suspended solid(SS)levels of 4.0-5.3 mg/L,oil content of 3.2-4.3 mg/L,and a median particle diameter of 1.4-1.9 μm.These parameters fully comply with the Class I reinjection water quality requirements outlined in SY/T 5329-2022.Furthermore,the total count of sulfate-reducing bacteria,saprophytic bacteria,and iron bacteria in the treated co-produced water does not exceed 900 cells/mL,with an average corrosion rate of no more than 0.003 mm/a.When mixed with simulated formation water in any proportion at temperatures between 50-65℃,the maximum calcium loss rate is less than 5.8%.The relative expansion rate of clay minerals in the formation ranges from 8%to 24%.During the reinjection,the injection pump pressure is maintained between 15.8-17.8 MPa,indicating excellent compatibility of the treated co-produced water with the injected water quality and clay minerals.
