摘要

Abstract

Air transportation has significant advantages such as short round-trip cycle and direct access to scien-tific research sites.The construction and operation of aviation runway facilities in Antarctica will help ex-pand the scale of China's Antarctic scientific research and enhance China's influence in the Antarctic field.This paper reviews the typical compacted snow runways that have been built,explains the overall construc-tion process of building snow runways,and summarizes the snow compaction technology for building high-strength runways,that is,gradually increasing the weight and tire pressure of the compactor to compact to the target density.A variety of commonly used detection technologies are introduced in detail,the pene-trometer measures the compacted snow layer at multiple points,is used to detect the uniformity of compac-tion and the existence of weak layers during the compaction process,verification vehicle can simulate the load of aircraft taking off and landing on the runway,and is used to check whether the load-bearing capacity of the compacted snow runway meets the standard after construction.Clegg hammer can be used to detect the uniformity of the runway surface during construction and maintenance,and the flat plate load test can be used to simulate the settlement of the runway under the static load of the aircraft.This paper also proposes a prospect for the improvement of the compacted snow runway technology in the future.
