摘要

Abstract

To explore the influence of high-energy electron beam irradiation on the quality of Astragali Radix,the effects of different doses(0,2,4,6,8,10 kGy)of electron beam irradiation on the physicochemical properties,color,active ingredient content,and similarity of fingerprint chromatogram of Astragali Radix were evaluated.The results showed that compared with the unirradiated group,4 to 10 kGy irradiation could effectively eliminate aerobic bacteria,molds and yeasts in Astragali Radix.The contents of moisture,ash,water-soluble extract and total flavonoids were not significantly affected.After irradiation,the brightness value(L*)decreased and the yellow-blue value(b*)increased,but the total color difference was not significantly changed.Compared with the unirradiated group,irradiation with 2 to 8 kGy had no significant effect on the contents of calycosin,formononetin,calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside and ononin in Astragali Radix,while irradiation with 10 kGy significantly decreased the contents of calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside and ononin.The similarity of fingerprint chromatograms of Astragali Radix treated with different doses of irradiation was greater than 0.99.In summary,4 to 8 kGy electron beam irradiation was the appropriate dose range of Astragali Radix,which can effectively eliminate microorganisms while maintaining their qualities.This study provides a theoretical basis for the application of electron beam irradiation technology in the irradiation sterilization of Astragali Radix.
