Effect and Mechanism of New Quality Productivity in Promoting High-Quality Economic Development:Based on the Perspective of Upgrading of Industrial Structure and Consumption Structure

Abstract
The new quality of productive forces is based on the new concepts and requirements put forward at the current stage of China's economic development level,and is the key driving force for the construction of a modernized economic power.The entropy method was used to measure the comprehensive index of new quality productivity and economic high-quality development of 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2021,and a fixed-effect model was constructed to analyze the impact of new quality productivity on economic high-quality development and its mechanism of action from theory and empirical evidence.The study found that the new quality productivity significantly promotes high-quality economic development,and the conclusion still held after a series of robustness tests;the mechanism test showed that industrial structure upgrading was an important channel for the new quality productivity to promote high-quality economic development;the consumption structure upgrading has a positive moderating effect on high-quality economic development;and the heterogeneity analysis found that,in the central and western part of China and the high-industrialized regions,the new quality productivity has a more obvious effect on the quality of the economy.Heterogeneity analysis found that in the central and western parts of China and highly industrialized regions,the new quality productivity played a more obvious role in improving economic quality.The conclusions of the study provided a certain reference for how to accelerate the development of new quality productivity in China and thus promote the high-quality development of the economy.关键词
