Chiang Kai-shek's Attempt to Protect the Families of Anti-Japanese Soldiers During the Comprehensive Anti-Japanese War

Abstract
Family is the most basic social unit,and military families are a special group.Chiang Kai-shek's understanding of the family went from emphasizing"personal liberation"to emphasi-zing the family's responsibility to society and the state.Chiang Kai-shek attempted to provide cer-tain guarantees to the families of resistance soldiers during the comprehensive Anti-Japanese War,with the aim of mobilizing more family members to join the army and inspiring frontline of-ficers and soldiers.However,due to the complexity of the protection work for military families,the incomplete systems of the Nationalist Government,and the mutual constraints of the executing agencies,especially the financial difficulties during the Anti-Japanese War,Chiang Kai-shek's measures to protect military families were not fully implemented,and the effect was not signifi-cant.关键词
