摘要
Abstract
After the Battle of Shanghai in 1937,the south of the Yangtze River fell into enemy hands and various local guerrilla armed groups emerged. The New Fourth Army led by the CPC en-tered southern Jiangsu and established the Maoshan Anti-Japanese Base Area. The guerrilla forces active in the area of Wuxi,Suzhou, and Changzhou established the Jiangnan Anti-Japa-nese Volunteer Army(abbreviated as"Jiangkang")under the leadership of the CPC and the train-ing of the New Fourth Army. The"Jiangkang"developed through guerrilla warfare, combined with the New Fourth Army, marched eastward, absorbed other local forces, and fought against Japanese puppet troops. In order to avoid friction with the Kuomintang, the main force withdrew westward, while the remaining troops held their ground in south of the Yangtze River and established a new"Jiangkang".After the Southern Anhui Incident, the new"Jiangkang"was reorganized into the Sixth Division of the New Fourth Army and continued to adhere to guerrilla warfare.The"Jiang-kang"is a microcosm of the Anti-Japanese War in south of the Yangtze River and the compre-hensive Anti-Japanese War led by the CPC,manifesting the scene of the rapid development and growth of the armed forces led by the CPC.关键词
