Abstract

The experiment aimed to optimize the extraction process of Eucommia ulmoides glycosides and explore its antioxidant activity.Using ultrasound assisted water extraction method,Eucommia ulmoides leaves were used as raw materials,with liquid to material ratio,ultrasound temperature,and ultrasound time as independent variables,and Eucommia ulmoides glycosides extraction rate as the response value.The extraction process parameters were optimized by response surface analysis,and its microstructure and antioxidant activity were studied.The results showed that under the conditions of liquid-solid ratio of 19 mL/g,ultrasonic temperature of 69℃and ultrasonic time of 39 min,the extraction yield of Eucommia ulmoides glycosides was the highest(7.22%).The surface of Eucommia ulmoides glycosides was rough and had obvious void structure.The scavenging efficiency of 1,1-diphenyl-2-trinitrophenylhydrazide(DPPH)free radical,hydroxyl free radical and 2,2-diazo-bis(3-ethyl-benzothiazolin-6-sulfonic acid)diamiammonium salt(ABTS)free radical were 90.06%,77.62%and 100.00%,respectively,when the concentration of Eucommia ulmoides glycosides was 3.0 g/L.The study indicates that Eucommia ulmoides glycosides can be used as antioxidant feed additive in animal breeding.
