Transitioning to Zero-carbon Growth:Carbon Neutrality Goal Empowers High-quality Economic Growth
摘要
Abstract
The goal of carbon neutrality represents a political consensus formed by the international community,signifying a systemic and pivotal strategic decision.Conventional western economic theories,rooted in the paradigm of industrial civilization,prioritize quan-titative economic expansion,perceiving the rigid constraints of carbon neutrality as a pressure on economic growth.These theories advo-cate decarbonization through technological advancements and energy efficiency improvements,while overlooking the inherent nature of carbon neutrality as a systemic socio-economic transformation and developmental paradigm shift.Conversely,under the ecological civi-lization paradigm,the definition of economic growth broadens from mere quantitative increase to qualitative enhancement,emphasizing the synergistic co-benefits of economic,social,and environmental dimensions.Economic growth and carbon reduction are no longer mutually exclusive;instead,the energy system transition driven by carbon neutrality will generate new momentum for high-quality eco-nomic growth.The potential pathways for transitioning towards zero-carbon growth necessitate further exploration,requiring a critical re-evaluation of conventional economic growth theories and decarbonization approaches.It further demands a deeper examination of the conceptual framework of high-quality economic growth and an analysis of the intrinsic mechanisms through which carbon neutrality em-powers such growth,thereby providing directional guidance for achieving carbon neutrality and realizing the benefits throughout this transition.关键词
