Abstract

Since traditional isolation bearings have no vertical isolation ability and poor anti-pull ability,a three-dimensional isolation bearing with anti-pull function was designed based on the idea of separating horizontal and vertical seismic isolation functions.The fundamental construction and working principles of an anti-pull three-dimensional isolation bearing were elucidated,and the theoretical analyses of its horizontal and vertical restoring force models were conducted.The effects of parameters on the horizontal,vertical hysteresis and anti-pull performance of the bearings were studied by an established solid finite element model.The results show that the three-dimensional isolation bearings with anti-pull function exhibits excellent hysteresis performance in both horizontal and vertical directions.The horizontal energy dissipation of the bearing is positively correlated with vertical pressure,the slip amplitude,and friction coefficient.The horizontal equivalent stiffness and damping ratio increase with the increase of the vertical pressure and the friction coefficient.The vertical energy dissipation is positively correlated with the preload amount and the load amplitude.The vertical equivalent stiffness increases with the increase of the preload amount and decreases with the increase of the load amplitude.When the bearing is subjected to uplift force,the anti-pull stiffness is zero within the designed vertical displacement range.But when the anti-pull displacement reaches the designed displacement,the anti-pull stiffness can be up to 415 kN/mm.Before the uplift force reaches 871kN all components of the anti-pull device have not yielding,which indicates that the bearing has a great anti-pull ability.
