Calculation Methods of EXIT Curves for Non-binary LDPC Codes and Their Algebraic Check Extensions

Abstract
Through iterative decoding,Low-Density Parity-Check(LDPC)exhibits excellent performance near Shannon limit as the code length approaches to infinity.The existing coding schemes based on the extension of binary LDPC codes show that the channel coding scheme with enhanced coding gain can be effectively constructed by introducing more complex algebraic check to replace the Single Parity Check(SPC)in LDPC codes.Non-binary LDPC codes have stronger error correction ability than binary LDPC codes,but their high computational complexity significantly restricts the research and development of non-binary channel coding technology.In this paper,the non-binary LDPC code and its algebraic check expansion structure are studied,and a calculation method of the Extrinsic In-formation Transfer(EXIT)curve of the algebraic check node based on the non-binary LDPC code expansion is proposed.The EXIT curves of different algebraic check nodes are obtained through simulation,and the simulation results are analyzed,providing a specific method for the construction of non-binary LDPC codes and their extended codes.关键词
