Optimal User's Sum Rate Method for Intelligent Reflection Surface-aided Communication System

Abstract
Intelligent Reflecting Surface(IRS)enhances the robustness of wireless communication.However,addressing channel-estimation overheads caused by the large number of IRS elements remains a major challenge.In particular,these overheads increase proportionately with the number of IRS elements,thereby making it difficult to handle multiple IRSs.Therefore,Optimal Sum Rate of User Based on Reflection Control Pattern(OSRP)algorithm is proposed in this paper.A reflection control model is constructed and on-ly a part of IRS is selected to provide reflection service for users according to the attenuation information of the reflection link.The o-verhead by the estimation of Channel State Information(CSI)is reducing.Based on the incomplete CSI,the beamforming matrix and IRS phase are optimized to improve the sum rate of users.Numerical results shows that OSRP algorithm has reduced the complexity and obtained better user's sum rate,compared with sum rate optimization based on complete CSI.关键词
