Abstract

To address the urgent requirements of wide bandwidth,modularity,and high-power handling for jamming array antennas,an ultra-wideband tightly coupled dual-polarized metallic antenna is proposed.The antenna unit employs an all-metal vertical dipole structure,directly fed through a transition balun converting from a coaxial inner conductor to a twin-line configuration.Metallic coupling pillars are integrated between tightly coupled antenna elements to eliminate resonant frequency issues within the operating band,thereby extending the bandwidth and enabling a dual-polarized modular design.The all-metal architecture provides a technical foundation for high-power jamming in practical engineering applications.After simulation and analysis,an 8×8 array prototype is fabricated and experimentally validated.Measurement results demonstrate that the antenna achieves 85%radiation efficiency across 500~2 500 MHz,supports±60°wide-angle beam scanning,and confirms the validity of the proposed design.
