摘要

Abstract

Genetic evaluation is the core task of genetic improvement in livestock populations,and its fundamental purpose is to obtain more accurate estimates of breeding values.With the continuous development of statistical methods,computers,molecular biology,bioinformatics and other technologies,livestock genetic evaluation methods have gone through the traditional BLUP method based on phenotypic information,the MBLUP method combined with molecular genetic marker information,and genomic selection based on gene chip technology,and the accuracy of genetic evaluation has been continuously improved.The development of genomic selection technology not only greatly improves the accuracy of selection,but also facilitates the realization of early selection of breeding stock,thus effectively shortening the generation interval and accelerating genetic progress.In this paper,we follow the development history of livestock genetic evaluation,discuss in detail around the theory and method of genetic evaluation technology,and discuss in depth about the development of livestock breeding technology and its application,in order to provide reference for other breeders to further understand genetic evaluation.
