摘要

Abstract

During the reconstruction and expansion of the G30 Lianyungang-Khorgas Expressway(Xinjiang Section),a large amount of reclaimed asphalt pavement(RAP)is expected to be generated from the removal of the existing pavement.The project is designed to utilize plant-mix hot recycled asphalt(RHMA)technology to recycle and reuse the RAP.To determine which layer of the existing pavement structure is more suitable for recycling,dynamic shear rheometer(DSR)tests and bending beam rheometer(BBR)tests were conducted on RAP asphalt obtained from three different layers and on a blend of aged and new asphalt(30%aged asphalt+70%new asphalt).The results show that the RAP from different layers contains asphalt with varying degrees of aging.The asphalt in the surface layer RAP is the most severely aged,while the asphalt in the lower layer RAP and the overall milled RAP has a similar degree of aging,which is less than that of the surface layer RAP.By blending aged and new asphalt,the performance of the aged asphalt can be effectively restored to meet the specifications required for the construction area.
