Development of a V-band 500 W Linear Solid-state Power Amplifier for Satellite Internet

Abstract
For the uplink V-band transmission link between the satellite internet ground gateway station and the high orbit satellite communication,96-channel broadband power synthesis is achieved through using an isolated waveguide synthesis network consisting of aluminum nitride planar high-power thin film load and waveguide E-plane T-section.The measured power amplifier has a continuous wave saturated output power greater than 500 W in the 5 GHz operating band.By using broadband adaptive predistortion linearization technology with a novel I/Q orthogonal circuit form,the improvement of IMD3 of the power amplifier is greater than 9 dB,and the measured IMD3 of the power amplifier is better than-27 dBc.The high heat flux density heat dissipation technology using temperature equalization plates and heat pipes improves the heat transfer efficiency of the heat sink,achieving good heat dissipation for a 500 W power amplifier.The power amplifier is equipped with complete control and protection functions,and its reliability and practicality meet the requirements of engineering application.关键词
