Abstract
Aiming to address the inconsistency between ground tests and flight tests of solid rocket motors(SRMs),where com-bustion instability occured during flight but not during ground tests,the flow-induced vibration mechanisms of SRM combustion in-stability by simulating different motor states through various constraint methods were investigated.The ground test and flight condi-tions were simulated using fixed-end constraints and head constraints,and the operational stability of the SRM was evaluated by ap-plying localized pulse excitation.Structural vibration frequencies were obtained through modal testing,and the effects of different con-straint methods on these frequencies were compared.The results show that in the early stages of operation,the structural vibration fre-quency under head constraints exceeds that under fixed-end constraints,whereas in the later stages,the vibration frequency becomes higher under fixed-end constraints.The location of the excitation does not affect the structural vibration frequency but influences the amplitude of the structural response.The amplitude of pressure oscillations significantly affects the amplitude of acceleration oscilla-tions only when their frequencies are closely matched.Under head constraints,proximity between pressure oscillation frequency and acceleration oscillation frequency triggers structural-flow resonance,while under fixed-end constraints,no resonance occurs even when the two frequencies converge.关键词
