Climate Suitability Assessment for Mechanized Harvesting of Sugarcane in Guangxi

Abstract
In order to improve the level of mechanized harvesting of sugarcane in Guangxi,the key meteorological factors affecting the mechanized harvesting of sugarcane in Guangxi were found out by constructing the climate suitability index and model,and the suitability was calculated by using the data of 91 meteorological observation stations in Guangxi from 1961 to 2024.Based on Arcgis technology,the grid push calculation was carried out and the distribution map of monthly climate suitability of sugarcane mechanized harvesting in Guangxi from November to the next March was produced.The results showed that the climate suitability of sugarcane harvesting in Guangxi was distributed in a gradient way from south to north;from November to December,the three coastal cities and most of the sugarcane areas in Chongzuo City were in the most suitable area,and the rest of the sugarcane areas were in the sub-suitable-suitable area;from January to March,of the sugarcane areas in the three coastal cities were in the most suitable area,most of the sugarcane areas in Guangxi were in the unsuitable area and the rest of the sugarcane areas were in the sub-suitable-suitable area;the climate suitability of sugarcane mechanized harvesting in Guangxi December＞November＞January＞February＞March.The research results of this paper provide guidance and reference for accelerating the mechanized harvesting of sugarcane in Guangxi.关键词
