Study on Water-insoluble Impurities in White Granulated Sugar Powder by Sulfuric Acid Method

Abstract
In order to investigate the content of water-insoluble impurities in white granulated sugar powder produced by sulfite sugar factory,as well as their impact on product quality and control strategies,this study systematically studies the content,sources,and control methods of water-insoluble impurities in sugar powder through sampling detection,component analysis,and process optimization experiments.The results show that the average content of water-insoluble impurities in 18 sugar powder samples collected from the white granulated sugar drying room by three sugar factories is 245 mg/kg.Composition analysis shows that the main cationic components in the impurities of sugar powder precipitation are Ca2+,Si4+,K+,Mg2+,the main anionic components are SO42-,PO43-,SO32-,the main sources are sugarcane raw materials and production aids,as well as substances produced by chemical reactions in sugar production.By optimizing and controlling process parameters such as neutralization pH value,sulfur fumigation intensity,phosphoric acid addition amount,settling time,strengthening syrup flotation process,and improving clarification and neutralization equipment,the water-insoluble impurities in sugar powder can be effectively reduced.Research has shown that systematic process optimization and equipment improvement can effectively control the water-insoluble impurities.However,measures such as raw material management,scaling cleaning,and white granulated sugar screening need to be combined to achieve continuous improvement in the quality of white granulated sugar.关键词
