Abstract

In response to the increasingly widespread application of reactive armor for armored vehicle pro-tection,a small-caliber non-metallic liner shaped charge warhead was designed for detonating reactive armor.On the premise that the nylon jet can detonate simulated reactive armor,through numerical simula-tion methods,epoxy resin was determined as the liner material by comparing the shaping of the jet forma-tion of five different non-metallic material liners.Orthogonal design and range analysis were conducted on the stand-off,liner thickness,liner cone angle and liner inner radius,using the Held detonation criterion,revealing the extent of the influence of non-metallic liner shaped charges on the detonation capability of shell-loaded explosives,as well as the optimized structural parameters of the liner.Based on the opti-mized non-metallic liner shaped charge,simulations were performed on the process of detonating reactive armor using non-metallic jets under various stand-off.The results show that the non-metallic material liner shaped charge warhead can form a well-shaped non-metallic jet with a high tip velocity,while also possessing the ability to detonate reactive armor under various stand-off.This provides relevant technical references for the design of non-metallic liner shaped charge warheads.
