Corn Yield and Water Use Efficiency under Different Irrigation Levels and Furrow Irrigation in Semi-arid Areas

Abstract
In order to study the influence of furrow irrigation and irrigation level on corn yield and water use efficiency in semi-arid areas,this paper adopts three furrow irrigation methods(conventional,fixed and alternating furrow irrigation)and three irrigation application levels(100%ETc,75%ETc and 50%ETc).The furrow irrigation system is the main area,and the irrigation level is the auxiliary area,with split-plot design.The study results show that based on water use efficiency,crop yield and harvest index,corn irrigation under alternating furrow irrigation can be with 100%ETc or 75%ETc,and water use efficiency of irrigation with 75%ETc is higher than that with 100%ETc,so irrigation with 75%ETc can be adopted when water resources are severely limited.关键词
