Things turn out contrary the way one wishes:a study on the deviation between adoption goals and outcomes of green production technologies by farmers and its correction

Abstract
Based on 1,045 field survey data,the bivariate Probit model and binary Logit model were used to empirically test the deviation between the goals and results of farmers'adoption of green production technology as well as its influencing factors.The results show that although some farmers have adopted green production technologies,the outcomes have fallen short of expectations in achieving specificgoal such as reducing fertilizeruse,applying pesticides precisdy and implementing water-saving irrigation.There exists a significant negative correlation and significant deviation phenomenon between the results of farmers'adoption of green production technologies and their goals.Further research has found that factors induding internet use,farmers'cognition,incentive policies,punishment policies and policy trust cast significant negative effect on the deviation of farmers'adoption of green production technology,all of which play a corrective role.Resource endowment only has a significant negative effect on the deviation of farmers'adoption of green fertilizer technology,and does not have a significant effect on the deviation of the adoption of green medication and water-saving technology.Additionally,incentive policies exhibit a significant positive moderating effect on farmers'cognitive dissonance on their adoption of green fertilization technology and green pesticide application technology.Punishment policies have a significant positive moderating effect on farmers'cognitive dissonance on the adoption of green fertilization technology.Policy trust has a significant positive moderating effect on farmers'cognitive dissonance on the adoption of green fertilization technology,green pesticide application technology and green water-saving technology.Therefore,the important role of farmers'cognition and policies in correcting the deviation of their adoption of green production technologies should be emphasized.Through policy subsidies,constraints,and publicity,farmers'trust in policies should be increased to ensure that the results of their adoption of green production technologies are in line with the goals.关键词
