Investigation and analysis on behavior problems of newly enrolled preschool children in urban areas of Liuzhou City
摘要
Abstract
Objective To understand the occurrence of behavior problems of newly enrolled preschool children in urban areas of Liuzhou City, and provide a basis for optimizing parenting styles and strategies. Methods A survey was conducted on children aged 2-3 years in urban areas of Liuzhou City who underwent physical examinations for daycare from 2017 to 2020 by using the Achenbach child behavior checklist(parent version). The relevant data were statistically analyzed. Results A total of 7 971 children participated in the survey, and the overall detection rate of behavior problems was 38.5%.There was no significant difference between the 2-year-old group and the 3-year-old group(40.0%vs 38.1%,χ2=1.888,P>0.05).The detection rate of behavior problems in boys was significantly higher than that in girls(40.8%vs 36.0%,χ2=18.559,P<0.001).Among various behavior factors, aggressive behavior had the highest detection rate, followed by depression, social withdrawal, physical complaints, and sleep problems, while destructive behavior had the lowest detection rate. From 2017 to 2020,the detection rate of behavior problems of newly enrolled preschool children aged 2-3 years showed a decreasing trend(χ2 trend=180.815,P<0.001).Conclusion The behavior problems of children aged 2-3 years in urban areas of Liuzhou City are more prominent. However, with the implementation of the"comprehensive two children"policy, the detection rate of children's behavioral problems is showing a decreasing trend. We suggest increasing parents'attention to children's behavior problems and developing targeted preventive measures for children's mental health care.关键词
