Abstract
Objective To explore the intergenerational transmission of growth mindset,and investigate the mediating effects of maternal authoritative parenting style and children's academic burnout.Methods A survey was conducted on 704 children and their mothers by using implicit intelligence scale,authoritative parenting style scale,and academic burnout scale.The relevant data were statistically analyzed.Results Mothers'growth mindset was significantly positively correlated with children's growth mindset.Mothers'growth mindset had a direct predictive effect on children's growth mindset(β=0.51,P<0.001).Mother's growth mindset indirectly affected children's growth mindset through the independent mediating effect of children's academic burnout,and the chain mediating effect of mother's authoritative parenting and children's academic burnout.The 95%confidence intervals of the relevant pathways did not include 0.Conclusion The growth mindset has an intergenerational transmission effect.This effect is realized not only through the single mediating effect of children's academic burnout,but also through the chain mediating effect of mothers'authoritative parenting style and children's academic burnout.关键词
