Cognitive neurobiological mechanisms of interaction between poverty and depression
摘要
Abstract
Poverty,characterized by its historicity,multidimensionality,complexity,and persistence,gives rise to psychological issues such as depression triggered by material poverty,which in turn exhibit features of longevity,arduousness,and recurrence.This study integrates research from psychology,neuroscience,economics,and psychiatry to systematically explore the cognitive-neurological mechanisms between poverty and depression.It further investigates how depression and poverty interact and influence each other,ultimately resulting in intergenerational transmission of depression.Future research should refine the classification of poverty types,focus on direct indicators for measuring poverty,and promote interdisciplinary collaborations to more comprehensively and deeply explore the relationship between poverty and depression.关键词
