Like all industries,China's century-old architecture demands cultural memory,characterized by its enduring nature and reliant on dedicated research and dissemination.This article critiques Academician Ma Guoxin's"Two Books"reflecting on mentor-student friendships,arguing that his writings have meticulously contributed to preserving cultural memory in China's architectural field.These texts not only immortalize the legacies of eminent architectural pioneers but also vividly transport readers into the"sites"of projects through Ma's works and reflections,embodying his profound reverence and affection for predecessors and peers.Furthermore,the works abstract a research framework for architectural biography,establishing them as representative humanistic literature in the discipline.The paper commends their microscopic perspective,attention to detail,emotional richness,and systematic rigor.In this sense,Ma's"Two Books"constitute a seminal contribution to advancing architectural humanities.关键词
