Landscape Renovation of Railway Ruins Based on Spatial Vitality Awakening:A Case Study of the Abandoned Section of Chentang Branch Line in Nankai District,Tianjin

Abstract
The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has a long history of railway development.However,with the passage of time,many freight railways have been abandoned,leading to negative spaces in urban core areas,resulting in inefficient land use and a loss of landscape and cultural values.In response to the strategic requirement of the CPC Central Committee to protect and inherit cultural heritage,this paper takes the abandoned section of the Chentang Branch Line in Nankai District,Tianjin,as the research object.Based on the theory of urban spatial vitality,it explores how to integrate surrounding environmental resources and activate the public space of railway sites.The study proposes the creation of a ribbon park with cultural characteristics of the railway site to improve the urban walking network and enhance spatial accessibility,thereby creating a multifunctional urban space with transportation,landscape,and cultural value.This provides practical pathways and theoretical support for the reuse of abandoned railways.关键词
