The Lost Literati Refinement:Decoding the Affective Construct of Shicang Garden,Fuzhou in Late Ming
摘要
Abstract
Shicang Garden, constructed by the late Ming scholar-official Cao Xuequan in Fujian, epitomizes both the distinctive cultural identity of Minzhong(central Fujian)and the literati's dedicated pursuit of refined aesthetics.Through an analysis of its spatial design, this study deciphers how the garden's landscapes materialize Cao's personal affective trajectories while simultaneously mirroring the collective emotional archetypes of late Ming literati. We argue that Shicang Garden's affective construct emerges from the interplay between individual introspection and landscape embodiment.A detailed historical-textual investigation further elucidates the garden's emotional metamorphosis across its construction phases and its multilayered cultural symbolism.关键词
