摘要

Abstract

Objective:To measure root diameter and surrounding bone thickness of mandibular central incisors using cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT)to provide reliable clinical data for developing implant planning.Methods:CBCT imaging data from 309 patients were analyzed.Labial-lingual and mesial-distal diameter,labial/lingual,mesial/distal bone thickness were measured at 2 mm below the cemento-enamel junction(CEJ)of the mandibular central incisors.Bone dehis-cence and fenestration were recorded.Results:The labial-lingual diameter and mesial bone thickness were significantly grea-ter in males than in females(P<0.05),while the right lingual bone plate thickness was significantly greater in females than in males(P<0.05).The number of cases with buccal bone fenestration was 12 for males and 11 for females,with no signifi-cant difference in incidence between genders at the same tooth position(P>0.05).The labial and lingual bone thickness in the age group of>50 years was significantly lower than that in the 18~30 years group and 31~50 years group(P<0.05)re-spectively.Conclusion:CBCT is effective in accurately assessing root diameter.The labial-lingual diameter and lingual bone plate thickness of mandibular central incisors at 2 mm below the CEJ are associated with gender,and individuals over 50 years old tend to have thinner labial and lingual bone plates.
