Deformation mechanism of down-dip soft rock slope in north slope of Xianfeng Open-pit Mine

Abstract
Taking down-dip soft rock slope in north slope of Xianfeng Open-pit Mine as research object,based on strength reduction method and Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model,using CAD-Midas GTS NX modeling,this article systematically analyzes the characteristics of stress field and displacement field of the slope,and summarizes the mechanism of deformation instability and failure mode.The results show that the north slope exhibits remarkable shear slip characteristics under the influence of gravity stress and excavation unloading.The strata slip occurs in the middle and upper part of the rock mass,which compresses the foot of the slope and results in the shear failure of the penetrating structural plane.Slope deformation can be divided into three stages:the initial incubation stage is dominated by slow fracture development,the slip creep stage is marked by shear slip,and the shear instability stage is dominated by fracture penetration and rock mass failure.The development of weak layer,groundwater and weak sliding surface of downdip soft rock are the main facters of slope instability.关键词
