Abstract
Social network communication accounts are digital identity carriers based on specific network service platforms, used for user identity verification, information exchange, and content sharing.Article 127 of the Civil Code generally stipulates that virtual property on the internet is pro-tected by law,but it doesn't address the inheritance of such virtual property.Social network communication accounts fall under the category of virtual property on the internet. The accounts themselves carry personal rights and interests, but their contents have property attributes. This conflation of at-tributes can easily lead to the dilemma of"lack of legal recognition and operability"when applying inheritance rules to social network communication accounts. The inheritance of social network communication accounts also faces practical challenges such as restrictions by network service providers, obstacles from privacy protection, and difficulties in defining the scope of inheritance subjects. To eliminate the obstacles to the inheritance of social network communication accounts,it's essential to distinguish the different legal attributes of the accounts themselves and their contents;invalidate standard terms in service agreements that restrict the inheritance of account contents;and clarify the inheritance rules for account contents, including the scope, order, and methods of inheritance for different contents,in order to maintain the order of digital heritage transfer and prevent secondary risks that may arise from the inheritance of virtual property.关键词
