Modernization of Harmonious Coexistence between Humanity and Nature:Theoretical Foundations,Scientific Connotation,and Pathways

Abstract
The modernization of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature is a defining feature of Chinese mod-ernization,offering a new paradigm for the advancement of human ecological civilization.This concept originates from the ecologi-cal perspectives of Marx and Engels,is deeply rooted in the ecological wisdom of traditional Chinese culture,and has been further developed within Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization.At its core,the modernization of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature is founded on the principle that humans and nature constitute a life community.Its fundamental value is pri-oritizing the well-being of the people,its ultimate goal is the construction of a"Beautiful China"and a clean,beautiful world,and its ecological foundation lies in fostering green,low-carbon,and sustainable development.To accelerate the establishment of a modern framework for harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature,the following strategies are essential:1)enhancing systemic integration,overall coordination,and synergy in ecological civilization governance;2)actively and prudently advancing the"dual carbon"goals and expediting the development of a clean,low-carbon,secure,and efficient energy system;3)impro-ving the modern environmental governance system by strengthening governance capacity and institutional modernization;and 4)guided by Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization,promoting global ecological cooperation within the framework of a shared future for humankind.关键词
