Evaluation of Drought Resistance and Water Use Efficiency of Potato Germplasm Resources

Abstract
In arid and semi-arid areas,water deficit is one of the main factors leading to the decline of potato yield and quality.In this experiment,the drought resistance and water use efficiency of 20 potato germplasm resources were studied by pot experiment in a double-layer top rain protection device.The potato germplasm resources with strong drought tolerance and high water use efficiency were screened by measuring plant height,stem diameter,leaf SPAD value,number of potatoes per plant,fresh tuber weight and dry tuber weight.The results showed that 698(T9613-14)、673(WK2)、479(Sebago)had stronger drought tolerance and higher water use efficiency,and could be further utilized as germplasm resources for creation and breeding of new varieties with drought tolerance and high water use efficiency.关键词
