Oncological and Medical Ethical Considerations of Port-Site Metastasis Resulting from Laparoscopic Surgery in Ovarian Cancer
摘要
Abstract
The majority of patients with ovarian epithelial carcinoma(ovarian cancer)are diagnosed at advanced FIGO stage Ⅲ～Ⅳ upon initial presentation.Although laparoscopic surgery provides minimally invasive benefits in the biopsy diag-nosis and preoperative evaluation of ovarian cancer,its associated risk of port-site metastasis(PSM)significantly compromi-ses patient prognosis.This article analyzes the causes,risks,and management strategies of PSM by integrating perspectives from oncological mechanisms and medical ethics,while underscoring the critical importance of strict adherence to surgical in-dications and standardized tumor-free techniques.The'minimally invasive'principle of laparoscopic surgery should embody an equilibrium between minimizing physical trauma and achieving maximal oncological efficacy.Concurrently,clinical deci-sion-making must reconcile technological advancement with patient safety.关键词
