摘要

Abstract

Neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix(NECC)is a rare and highly aggressive malignancy demonstrating sig-nificantly higher rates of lymphovascular invasion,metastasis,and recurrence compared with cervical squamous cell carcino-ma and adenocarcinoma.NECC is strongly associated with high-risk human papillomavirus(HPV)infection,with HPV-18 being the predominant subtype.Viral infections may induce genetic mutations and activate signaling pathways,thereby pro-moting tumorigenesis and driving tumor progression.Given its histopathological resemblance to small cell lung cancer(SCLC),the clinical management of NECC integrates the staging system of cervical carcinoma with therapeutic regimens a-dapted from SCLC protocols,establishing a multimodal treatment paradigm centered on comprehensive therapy.Precision medicine represents the definitive evolution in NECC management,where immunotherapy and targeted therapies have e-merged as groundbreaking modalities and constitute pivotal frontiers in therapeutic innovation.Going forward,we aim to conduct in-depth investigations into the molecular pathogenesis of NECC,with a dedicated focus on discovering actionable therapeutic targets,thereby pioneering transformative thera-peutic frontiers for NECC.
