Abstract

The Baolongshan uranium deposit is located in the northeast of the Qianjiadian depression in the Kailu Basin and is one of the large sandstone type uranium deposits discovered in the basin in recent years.This article conducts a detailed study on the sandstone components,uranium mineral types,and occurrence states of the Yaojia Formation using methods such as field core logging,indoor microscopic observation,and electron probe analysis.The research results indicate that the uranium source of the Baolongshan uranium deposit mainly comes from uranium rich rocks in the southern part of the Daxing'an Mountains.The Yaojia Formation developed braided river sedimentary facies during sedimentation,and its sandstone is mainly composed of feldspar lithic sandstone and lithic sandstone.Through research,it has been found that uranium mineralization in sandstone type uranium deposits mainly occurs in gray white sandstone located in the oxidation-reduction transition zone of the Yaojia Formation.The main types of uranium minerals in the Yaojia Formation are pitchblende,coffinite,and brannerite,with pitchblende being the primary type,followed by coffinite and brannerite.Asphalt uranium ore is mainly filled in the form of clumps and spots in the pits of detrital particles,or in the form of gel between mineral particles.A small amount exists in clay minerals in the form of network veins and fine particles.Coffinite ore mainly exists in the form of star shaped,irregular granular,or fine vein like particles at the edges of quartz,feldspar,and other grains.Brannerite deposits are mainly distributed in irregular clusters or networks within detrital particles,which are important indicators of thermal fluid interactions.The formation of ilmenite in nature is influenced by high environmental temperatures,generally ranging from 300℃to 450℃,with a small amount also formed in environments of 150℃to 300℃.However,a large amount of ilmenite has appeared in the study area,often coexisting with titanium dioxide and ilmenite,indicating that the study area has undergone hydrothermal transformation,and hydrothermal fluids have played a key role in the mineralization process of sandstone type uranium deposits in the study area.
