Abstract

The transition process of the hydraulic system of a large capacity hydropower station is relatively complicated,and the characteristics of the primary frequency modulation of unit are difficult to predict.In order to operate the primary frequency modulation process safely and efficiently,the parameters of the hydraulic turbine governor need to be set reasonably.Based on the character of the 1 000 MW units in Baihetan Hydropower Station,the corresponding primary frequency modulation simulation model is established by using HYSIM transition process simulation software developed by PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited.The reliability and accuracy of HYSIM software are verified by comparing the actual test results with the simulation results,which provides a reference for the transition process simulation calculation of large-capacity hydropower units.By using the established simulation model of primary frequency modulation,the influence law of primary frequency modulation characteristics of governor parameters is studied.The research results can provide guidance for the optimization of primary frequency modulation parameters of large capacity hydropower units.
